Adele enlisted some Canadian talent to direct her new music video, set to be released Friday.
It’s been revealed that Quebec filmmaker Xavier Dolan has directed the video for Hello, the debut single from Adele’s upcoming, highly anticipated album 25.

Montreal-based Dolan, 26, has achieved cult and critical success in recent years with such projects Laurence Anyways and Mommy. In 2014 he won a major prize at Cannes for Mommy; the Jury prize is considered the third-most prestigious award at the film festival.

Fans have been going crazy since the British singer teased the release of new material. She called her upcoming release a “make-up record.” The album follows the success of her last disc 21, which she called a “break-up” album. Singles from 21, Someone Like You and Rolling in The Deep, made Adele a household name.

In 2012 she recorded the James Bond theme Skyfall, which won the Best Original Song Academy Award in 2013. Adele, 27, has also picked up numerous Grammys along with dozens of other awards over the years.
The single, Hello will be her first new music video in three years.
Adele’s new album in its entirety will be released November 20.
